Website advertised Mosa chargers, these were not what were delivered, got some cheap knock off brand instead with frequent duds.Also, the website advertises 25 minute delivery, it took 3 hours for them to get here and that is only because of constant pestering from me, 0/10 communication and liability on their behalf.I imagine if I had not of taken pretty much the entire process into my own hands that the chargers would have never got here.I'm not sure who's rating these guys 5 stars, but considering that all the reviews are either 1 star or 5, something seems off, fraudulent reviews maybe?

I attended the Easter cupcake decorating class. It was my first class at cake decorating Central and it was fantastic. I really enjoyed creating some very special Easter fondant toppers. Karen the teacher was very friendly and it was easy to follow her directions.I will be booking into more classes at this venue.

Thanks to all at Van Rooy Machinery for the wonderful trip to the Barossa Valley, including chocolate masterclass at Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, chocolate and wine tasting and local produce lunch. What a fab open day prize, we had such a great time -thanks!

I purchased two table bases from Nisbets Online however when they were delivered, one of the rods that connects the table and base together was short. This was the cherry on top as I had waited for some time to get these table bases delivered. Thankfully, the other table base had no fault. I then emailed Nisbets Online returns department to inform them about the issue however, they rudely suggested that I measure the faulty table base, then dissemble the non-faulty table, put them side by side and take a photo of them so they could THEN assess the fault. How could they suggest something so ridiculous when all they had to do was pick up and drop off a new table base. I run a business and don’t have time to sit there assessing faulty products which I know I am entitled to have replaced! But it gets worse. I sent another email to Nisbets Online returns department and surprise surprise, I have received no response. I spoke to Tamara from returns and to Aaron and Phil from sales and again, surprise surprise, no one has gotten back to me. Take my advice and do NOT purchase products from this company. They have the worst products – they are either faulty or break down! They are cheap for a reason. The saying goes, if you pay for bananas you get monkeys. I would suggest you pay a little more for a product that you know will last you longer and is of a commercial grade!

I'm disappointed I didn't know this place was here sooner! Ordered a custom embosser online and picked it up in store. It's perfect, great quality and I love that it has a handle for easier stamping. Now I also have somewhere convenient to buy all my cutters from. Thank you!

Oh gosh, I need to go into cake decorating, this place has everything. I was after cup cake pattie pans in a nice colour other than supermarket variety. Lovely colours. Looks like they have a good range of materials.

I bake about 4 or 5 cakes a yea for birthdays. I wanted to order a cake but was very last minute so I had to make it. Really helpful service in giving some help on how to create rosetta flowers. Came out nice for my first try.

Understocked and overpriced. I was excited to see a shop like this open in Canberra, as I thought it was long overdue. But once I went inside I was surprised to find such a narrow range of bog standard kitchenware at hugely inflated prices. You can get the same stuff at Myer or David Jones for cheaper! If you need something quickly, Sauvage Urbain in Fyshwick or Majura have this place beat on range, quality and value. If you have more time, shop online (I find Brisbane's Executive Chef ships super quickly and cheaply). Even the shopping experience here is unpleasant, with poky aisles, poorly labelled shelves, and scratchy speakers playing annoying music. Really I can't think of any reason to shop here.

Just wanted to say thanks for your advice when purchasing my Ankarsrum Assistant 1500 watt mixer. Its just brilliant ! And not just because I could pick my favourite color - red!I am a home economist and have worked for many years in educational kitchens and have therefore tried and tested many kitchen mixers. I had purchased a Sunbeam large capacity mixer which failed quickly when I doubled a cake mix - then I researched and purchased a Breville Bakery Boss which failed when I made pizza dough for my daughters birthday party ! The store I purchased this mixer from replaced this with another new one which also failed. When I showed my research to the store manager at a large store they confirmed that there was really nothing on the market that was built to last like the Ankarsrum Assistant mixer or that I wouldn't have a lot of future problems with. I looked up many reviews online and was convinced that the Ankarsrum (sold only at Blackwood lane) was my best option. George and Angela even offered to let me try one in the store if I wished and showed me the inner workings of this sturdy mixer. Two years on and I still love baking with it.Its easy to use and is excellent for making batches of perfect pizza dough for kids parties or family dinners. We have made everything from sourdough bread - to light sponges, meringues, marshmallow and of course cakes. I love that I can easily double a cake mix or dough mix and it mixes the ingredients effortlessly! I love visiting the Blackwood lane store and appreciate all the tips and tricks I learn every time I visit.I had one query about my machine and after one phone call the issue was fixed in ten minutes !Thanks again guys,Sincerely, Kim.
